Poll Result: Man of the Match v Aston Villa

Last updated : 25 December 2009 By Dan Buxton

City may have been beaten at Villa Park but many described it as the best performance of the season, earning high praise from Villa boss Martin O'Neill.
This meant you had plenty of players to choose from for StokeMAD Man of the Match and the result is now in.

3=) Andy Wilkinson - 7.4% - Becoming a regular in the top 3. The full back produced another great burst forward and back in his normal right back position he dealt with the danger of two of the leagues best wingers in Downing and Ashley Young with ease. Got to be considered an automatic pick on current form.

3=) Danny Higginbotham - 7.4% - Came in from the cold and did an excellent job alongside Faye. The captain has shown bog weaknesses this season, including for Villa's goal on Saturday, and 'Higgy' marshalled well and defended like we all know he can

2) Matthew Etherington - 16.7% - Was a threat throughout on the left and linked up well in attack. Continues to fly past defenders with ease and one of the in form players in the country at the moment.

1) Tuncay - 51.9% - Turkish star extended his impressive run of being in the top for every start he has made for the Potters. He ran himself into the ground and only two fantastic last ditch blocks denied him a goal and City a share of the points.
