Poll Result: Man of the Match v Manchester City

Last updated : 21 February 2010 By Dan Buxton

The Potters met Manchester City for the second time in four days and yet again drew 1-1, although they a prefectly legitimate Ryan Shawcross goal ruled out in the dying seconds of the game.

Votes were well spread and goalscorer Whelan failed to make the top 3, showing the great team display the Potters gave. The top 3 were as follows:

3) Dean Whitehead - 12.7% - Midfielder gave another great display, again showing off his fantastic fitness and even the move to right back after Faye's dismissal failed to knock him off his stride

2) Ricardo Fuller - 18.2% - Jamaican was a constant threat to the Manc's backline and scared them witless when he was allowed to turn and run at them. Back in form now and such a lethal threat in the Potters team

1) Rory Delap - 29.1% - Set up another goal from a long throw but was unfairly ruled out. Much more to his game than that though and he got in the oppositions faces throughout and knocked balls down to Fuller in the wings.
