The Potters travel to Switzerland for the first leg of the Europa League tie against FC Thun in tomorrow nights big game. City will be hoping to build a platform for success ahead of next weeks return leg at the Britannia.

Stoke finished 13th in the Premier League but qualified after reaching the FA cup final. The visitors qualified for Europe via reaching the Swiss cup final and finished 5th in the Swiss Super League.

Stoke had a poor away record last season beating just Blackburn, West Brom and Newcastle in the league, but did also beat Wolves and Cardiff away in the cup, and that brilliant 5-0 victory at Wembley in the FA Cup semi final aswell and have started this campaign with the clubs first ever away win in Europe in the last rounds trip to Hajduk Split.

This is the first time the two sides have met.

The weather experts predict that there will be clear skies, temperatures of 27 degrees celsius and good visibility. There is a 10% chance of rain and humidity of 88% to go with a near none existent 2mph wind.

Prediction: Stoke find it difficult at first on the plastic pitch and struggle to contain their hosts but gradually come more into the game but neither side can break the deadlock
