Official Boothen Roar Match Preview: Stoke v Wolves

The Potters welcome Wolves to the Britannia Stadium in Tuesdays big Premier League game. 

Stoke sit 14th in the Premier League but if they manage to win will move past the magic 40 point barrier and into 9th position. The visitors are sitting six points behind Stoke in the league and are five places lowerin the bottom half.

Stoke have a very good home record this season and have already beaten twelve sides at the Brit, but have four defeats. The South Staffordshire side have won just twice way from home in the league this season and have lost twelve times away aswell.

In the 70 matches between these sides at Stoke, the Potters have won 33, the visitors 22 and fifteen have been drawn. Last season when the pair clashed at the Britannia Stadium, in December 2009, ex-Potter Jody Craddock's double earnt Wolves a 2-2 draw. Overall Wolves have won 64 times to the Potters 47 victories. 

The referee is Lee Mason. He reffed Stoke in their 1-1 home draw against West Ham and 4-0 home win against Newcastle this season. He has refereed Wolves four times this season, in their 1-1 away draw against Everton, 2-0 defeat away at Wigan, 3-2 defeat away at Man Utd and 4-3 defeat away at Manchester City.

The Met Office report that there will be medium level cloud, temperatures of a decent 10 degrees celsius, very good visibility but a mild 9mph wind, with gusts of 22mph.

Prediction: City strike early on through Kenwyne Jones and then double the lead on half time thanks to a free kick from Jermaine Pennant before comfortably seeing out the second half
