Last updated : 18 March 2011 By Dan Buxton

The Potters welcome Newcastle to the Britannia Stadium in Saturdays big Premier League game.

Stoke sit 12th in the Premier League but if they win will move back into the top half. The visitors are sitting two points better off than Stoke in the league and are just inside in the top half.

Stoke have a good home record this season and have already beaten eleven sides at the Brit, but have four defeats. The Magpies have won five times away from home in the league this season but have lost six times away aswell.

In the 39 matches between these sides at Stoke, the Potters have won 18, the visitors 9 and twelve have been drawn. Last time the pair clashed at the Britannia Stadium, in April 2009, the game ended in a 1-1 draw. Overall Newcastle have won 39 times to the Potters 22 victories.

The referee is Lee Mason. He reffed Stoke in their 1-1 home draw against West Ham this season. He has refereed Newcastle three times this season, in their 3-1 home win against Liverpool, the 2-0 home defeat against Blackpool and 2-0 away win at Birmingham.

The Met Office report that there will be sunny intervals, temperatures of a mild 11 degrees celsius, excellent visibility and a light 6mph wind.

Prediction: The Potters ride the euphoria of last weeks win over West Ham to net early through Kenwyne Jones, the striker doubling the lead on the hour mark to help the Potters see out victory.
