Official Boothen Roar Match Preview: Stoke v Fulham

Last updated : 27 December 2010 By Dan Buxton

The Potters welcome Fulham to the Britannia Stadium after just one defeat in seven games, but still searching for a first ever home December Premier League win.

Stoke sit 8th in the Premier League and will be up to try and inch further away from the relegation zone and hopefully into a european position. The hosts are ten places and eleven points below City.

Stoke have a decent home record this season and have already beaten Fulham in the Carling Cup, aswell as five other home wins. Fulham haven't won a domestic away game since beating Portsmouth on the opening day of last season.

In the 34 matches between these sides at Stoke, the Potters have won 16, the visitors 10 and eight have been drawn. Last time the pair clashed at the Britannia Stadium the game ended in a 2-0 home win. Overall Fulham have won 27 times to the Potters 26 victories.

The referee is Kevin Friend. This season he hasn't took charge of the Potters. He refereed Fulham in their 2-1 away defeat at West Brom this season.

The Met Office report that it will be foggy, temperatures of a chilly 2 degrees celsius, poor visibility and a 7mph wind.

Prediction: The Potters ring the changes and the freshness pays off as goals from Tuncay and Fuller seal the points
