Official Boothen Roar Match Preview: Stoke City v Maccabi Tel-Aviv

The Potters welcome Maccabi Tel-Aviv to the Britannia Stadium in tomorrow nights big Europa League game that sees the Potters hoping to cement their place at the top of their Europa League group. 

Stoke finished 13th in the Premier League but qualified after reaching the FA cup final and have started their group stage with a 1-1 draw away in Kiev and a 2-1 win at home to Besiktas. The visitors qualified for Europe after finishing 3rd in the Israeli league but only have one point in the group stage after losing 5-1 in Besiktas and drawing 1-1 at home to Dynamo Kiev.

Stoke had a very good home record last season and beat fourteen sides at the Brit, with only five defeats, also going unbeaten in 11 home games. The Potters have so far beaten Hajduk Split, Besiktas and Thun at home in the Europa League and have also beat Fulham and Liverpool aswell as drawing with Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United in their five domestic home games so far.

This is the first time the two sides have met. 

The MetOffice predict that there will be medium level cloud, temperatures of a chilly 8 degrees celsius, moderate visibility with a light 11mph wind.

Prediction: The Potters show great pace and strength up front and easily wrap the game up by half time thanks to strikes from Jerome, Jones and Pennant with Jones grabbing a couple of assists to add to his goal
