The sides have met 21 times in Norwich, with 11 home wins, 3 Potters victories and 7 draws. The last meeting at Norwich, in  saw Stoke run out 1-0 winners. In the 45 matches between these sides, the Potters have won 17, the East Anglian side 15 times and thirteen have been drawn.

The referee is Neil Swarbrick. He has only ever reffed two Premier League games, both last season. He has reffed Stoke three times during their time in the Championship, a 1-1 draw with Hull, a 0-0 draw at home to Barnsley and 2-1 home win over Southampton. He refereed Norwich City twice last season, in their 2-1 home win against Nottingham Forest and 2-2 draw away at Leeds.

The Met Office report that there will be sunny spells, temperatures of a warm 22 degrees celsius, very good visibility but a weak 11mph wind.

Prediction: Stoke score early on thanks to a great header by Jones from an Etherington cross and then are forced to hold on under late pressure as they record a fifth clean sheet in a row and fourth 1-0 win of the campaign
