Official Boothen Roar Match Preview: Arsenal v Stoke

Last updated : 17 December 2010 By Dan Buxton

The Potters travel to the Emirates Stadium this weekend to play Arsenal after just one defeat in six games.

Stoke sit 12th in the Premier League and will be up to try and inch further away from the relegation zone and hopefully into a european position. The hosts are ten places above City but have a dodgy home record, losing three times already this season.

Stoke have a decent away record this season and have beaten West Brom and Newcastle but have lost six of their other seven trips in 2010/11. Arsenal have only five league home wins this season, along with three defeats and no draws from their eight home games so far.

In the 45 matches between these sides at Arsenal, the Potters have won 5, the hosts 35 and five have been drawn. Last time the pair clashed at the Emirates Stadium the game ended 2-0 with Ramsey scoring the crucial second. Overall Arsenal have won 48 times to the Potters 22 victories.

The referee is Lee Mason. This season he took charge of the Potters when they drew at home to West Ham. He hasn't refereed Arsenal this season.

The Met Office report that there will be heavy snow, temperatures of a freezing 0 degrees celsius, moderate visibility and a strong 29mph wind.

Prediction: Stoke hold on for long periods but succumb to a late goal from Cesc Fabregas
