Oppositions View:- Wigan

Last updated : 08 February 2010 By Dan Buxton

City travel to the DW after their biggest win since promotion whilst Wigan had a physical game at Sunderland at the weekend. With home advantage and a slightly greater need for the points, do you think Wigan will claim all three points?

I would like to think so yes, but we are very unpredictable and there is very rarely an "inbetween" performance from us we are either to good or to bad.

The Potters are well known for a physical style whereas Roberto Martinez is renowned for playing attractive football. Is that the way you expect it to go?

I think we might struggle against the physical side of your game as we have sold off most of our players that had fight in them, Cattermole and Brown most of all. On the otherhand if we are on form we could easily outpass anyone as we proved against tough opposition in chelsea and burnley (away) so in all honesty it could go either way

The transfer window has been and gone. Are you happy with the ins and outs for Wigan and do you think the problem areas were addressed?

I am relatively happy with our transfer window as we didn't sell any players that are in contention for a 1st team place so we kept the backbone of the team whilst adding huge potential in Victor Moses. My only worry is we should have signed a proven goalscorer, seeing Robbie Keane go to Celtic made me think but I guess its all about wages with players like that.

Are there any Stoke players you are wary of?

I am quite a fan of the powerful strikers, Sidibe and Fuller so there the one's for me, also Matty Etherington is looking dangerous

Who should we keep an eye out for?

The obvious one for me is Charles N'Zogbia he's been a class act this season

...and finally, a prediction?

1-0 Wigan
