Oppositions view: Birmingham preview

Last updated : 21 August 2009 By Dan Buxton
With one home victory against a team tipped for relegation and one away defeat to a top 2 side each we are both where we thought we'd need to be after 2 games, do you think it'll be an evenly matched game?

A Very tight close match, with maybe the one goal in it

Our physical style of play is well known, the fact we can knock it around less so, but what kind of performance can we expect from the home side on Saturday?

We seem to be trying to play a lot more now, so we will try and keep posession with patient build up

A few summer signings for Birmingham, compared to our one, have they settled in well or are a few still finding their feet?

No issues so far, keep an eye out for the trickery of Benitez (Chucho)

Any Stoke players your a bit wary of?

Beattie Shocked

Who should we be looking out for from the Blues?

Benitez and or McFadden

and finally what is your prediction for the game?

Blues 1-0 Stoke

Those were the views of REESA off the message board whilst Supacragg wrote the following

Stoke's physical aspect of the game has kept them in the EPL this year but it was this same attittude that got Blues promoted. I personally think that it will be a fairly even affair with Blues to just nick it 1-0. On paper BCFC have a more talented and experienced squad with stoke just edging it on desire to win.

The new signings have settled in well and have stood out as some of our best players so far. Roger Johnson has looked very solid at the back and Chucho looks very dangerous up top. Barry Ferguson adds some much needed calmness on the ball in the midfield.
McFadden is like a new player for Birmingham and looks like he could be realising his potential and International form.

Obviously we need to be wary of the long throws and the eye for goal that Beattie has.
