Oppositions View - Wolves(A)

How has pre-season gone for Wolves, how do you think saturdays game will go?

Pre-season has gone well except Doyle picking up an injury towards the end. We have been playing some nice football and had some nice trips to Belgium and Ireland. Throughout pre-season we have been playing 4-4-2 which is how i expect us to line up against Stoke on Saturday. I hope that on saturday the hard work will pay-off and it will be a good game and Wolves can beat Stoke- but you never know what going to happen on the first game of the season.

What style of performance will Wolves aim for?

We played 4-5-1 turning into a 4-3-3 when attacking for the most part of last season and it was successful but we did not score many. I believe we will start with a 4-4-2 formation on saturday and aim to pay a high tempo using the front pair to feed off. Wolves have an image amongst Stoke fans as a long ball team which is un-founded and I think we will get the ball down and play.

Steven Fletcher Missing link?

From what we have seen so far in pre-season he is a very good player, hard working and knows where the back of the goal is, if Fletcher and Doyle can form a good partnership i believe that they can fire us up the table, if they have the right service from the midfield.

If you could pick one Stoke player for your team, who would you have?

For me it would have to be Shawcross as he is a young no nonsense
defender and Jody Craddock can not go on forever.

If you could give one of your players to Stoke, who would you subject us to?

Greg Halford as he is a direct replacement for Rory Delap so you can give his arms a rest.

Prediction?

After both games last season i would have to go with a score draw or Wolves just to sneak it.
