Oppositions View: Manchester City

The culmination of this trilogy of games has nearly arrived and after a couple of draws there must be a winner. Both sides have lost leads so far and we are still berating the 'goal' that was disallowed at the death in our last match. With that sure to make our lads up for it do you think Man City will struggle and how important is it whether Carlos Tevez makes it back for the game?

If we play a similar side to the one that started against Liverpool (with Bellamy in for Johnson) and we attack from the off I don't think we will struggle. We have to keep the Kompany/Lescott pairing at the back to cope with your arial attack and long throw ins.

Carlos Tevez would be important for any team in any game on his current form but we can and will probably have to make do without him.

The Potters are well known for a physical style. Will Man City again try and pass us off the field or will the penny have dropped you have to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in against Stoke?

We do need to get stuck in against you but I think, if we play to our strenghs, we will get the job done.

With Chelsea away in the next round this game could well be the penultimate game in the cup for whichever side that wins. With the tough draw in mind, and 4th such a hotly contested battle, how would you feel if players were rested on Wednesday?

Resting players? I think you will see Mancinis strongest available side

Are there any Stoke players you are wary of?

As always we will be wary of your long throw ins.

Who should we keep an eye out for?

Adebayor looked up for it (for a change) against Liverpool and I hope he will be against you (though I doubt it). SWP on the right and Bellamy or Petrov on the left will cause you problems and, if our players can switch on to his runs, Ireland could cause some problems. Also Barry looked good yesterday and Bridge and Zabaleta too.

...and finally, a prediction?

Not going to give you a score but I think (and hope) City by the odd goal or two
