Oppositions Season Review: Wolves

Last updated : 14 June 2010 By Dan Buxton

So how has the season gone in your eyes? Was it better or worse than you expected last August?

We achieved our one ambition, which was to stay up. So it was a huge success in that respect. To finish 8 points clear of the drop was a bonus and the shift to a 4-5-1 proved to be the critical decision of the season (even more important than beating Burnley after the Man Utd 'reserves' game). After the formation shift we were a whole lot harder to beat and picked up points on a regular basis. I don't think we should abandon it just because (hopefully) we have Fletcher and Doyle now.

Who has been your best player over the season? Who has improved the most during 2009/10?

I thought Henry had a great season. A real leader. Doyle was fantastic at leading the line and Jarvis really settled in very well. He used to be sh*te but now he's alright...Craddock's play and goals were vital. But for me...Henry was Mr Consistant.

What was the best moment of the season for your side?

The Jarvis goal that finished the Hammers off.

What was the game of the season?

Spurs 0-1 Wolves. Big time win.

If you were manager what would you be doing this summer?

Relaxing and having Doyle round for a few beers and a pay rise.

Where do you see the club going from here

40+ points in 2010/11. That will keep us up with a bit to spare and put us in your bracket!
