Oppositions Season Review: Tottenham

Last updated : 04 June 2010 By Dan Buxton

So how has the season gone in your eyes? Was it better or worse than you expected last August?

Way better than expected, a finish in the top six would have sufficed for European football. But! Arry obviously had other plans, even with the injuries we have had through the season, we surpassed ourselves. Players that had for a long time underperformed competently stepped in to fill the gaps and delivered the goods, all down to Arry`s man management skills, and a hunger for European football.

Who has been your best player over the season? Who has improved the most during 2009/10?

There are numerous to choose from and to pick one would be an injustice, others will have their opinion, but for me, I`ll have to say Gomes. Some great match saving performances from our Brazilian. Having played in goals, one could be a tad bias. Most improved, G. Bale, been a revelation this season, hope Arry keeps him on the LW.

Gomes will be one of the worlds greatest names in goalkeeping, just hope he reaches that accolade while at WHL.

What was the best moment of the season for your side?

The one nil win at City and finishing fourth, drowned the poor sod behind me with beer when we scored. XD

What was the game of the season?

Two here, The Ar5ena1 game for obvious reasons. But, the win against Chelsea for the football played by Spurs, had we our shooting boots on that day, they would have been looking at a six goal loss.

If you were manager what would you be doing this summer?

Sobering up! Looking to bring in a CB, LW and CF.

Where do you see the club going from here?

We are obviously doing things right at the Lane, and great thanks must go to the powers that be, we are waiting for amended 56,000 seat stadium plans to get the go ahead. It`s all one step at a time, win the qualifier and see where we go from there, not too many changes with the squad with in`s & out`s during the transfer window should see us keep a happy medium with the team/squad.

Look to progress in the CL, consolidate a top four place, and some silver would be nice, not too much to ask for, is it?

The future is bright, the future is lilywhite.

COYS!

Good luck for next season, obviously not against us. ;D
