Oppositions Season Review: Blackpool

Last updated : 12 June 2010 By Dan Buxton

So how has the season gone in your eyes? Was it better or worse than you expected last August?

Amazing season. I actually posted at the start of the season that I had not felt so optimistic going into a season as this one and it turned out I was right to feel that way.

Who has been your best player over the season? Who has improved the most during 2009/10?

I would have to say that the best player overall for the season has been Charlie Adam, he really has been a driving force & bagged an above average goal tally for a midfielder. Most improved this season imo would have to be Alex Baptiste, he has stepped up to Championship level through hard work although I dont think he can do the same in the Prem.

What was the best moment of the season for your side?

Undoubtedly the Play Off final at Wembley, an absolute roller-coaster of emotions and a belting day too.

What was the game of the season?

It's a 50/50 toss up between the Florist semi or again the final at Wembley.

If you were manager what would you be doing this summer?

Looking for sensible purchases, Ollie seems to have a knack of bringing out the best in people so I dont think we'll see any "big name" buys.

Where do you see the club going from here?

I think the biggest benefit of this season to the club will be stability, there is no way on gods earth that the Karl Oyston will waste the money & it will be used to upgrade our stadium and build a sure footing for Blackpool FC in the future whatever league we are in.
