Loanee round up - 8/1/11

Ben Marshall

Played the whole 90 minutes as Carlisle lost 1-0 away at Torquay in the 3rd round of the FA Cup.

Marshall was playing on the left wing but struggled, along with his teammates, as the magic of the FA Cup struck again with the Northerners dumped out by lower league opposition

Diego Arismendi

Played the first 77 minutes as Barnsley lost 2-0 at home to Premier League side West Ham.

Arsimendi got stuck in on his debut against Premier League opposition but couldn't help see his side earn a replay, or a spot in the 4th round, as the Tykes were overran by the Hammers superior ability

Ibrahima Sonko

Played the whole game as Pompey lost 3-1 at lower league side Brighton.

Sonko had a bit of a mare, gifting the opposition the ball in front of goal on one occasion, and also needlessly handballing to give away a crucial penalty just before half time

Carl Dickinson

Played the full 90 minutes in central midfield as Pompey lost 3-1 at Brighton in the FA cup.

Showed more composure on the ball in midfield and was able to let rip with ione rocket shot whilst also getting stuck into some great tackles. Was unfortunate to end on the losing side as he proved himself to be one of Pompeys better performers.

 David Parton

Played the full game as Worcester lost 2-1 at Droylsden.

Parton was at fault for the opener as his weak punch fell inside the area and was bundled over the line. He is reported to have handled the incident well and retained his confidence and composure from there on in, making one or two good saves and showing good handling.
