Loanee Round Up - 3/4/10

Last updated : 05 April 2010 By Dan Buxton

Steve Simonsen

Played the full game as Sheffield United drew 0-0 at home to Barnsley.

The BladesMAD report had this brief report on him 'Simonsen 7.5/10 - A competent display where he showed excellent handling, decision making and command of his box. Had little to do in general play and only recall one free kick and tame header as saves he had to make. A massive improvement on Bunn.'

Ibrahima Sonko

Was ineligible for Hull's game at the Britannia Stadium.

Ryan Shotton

Was suspended for Barnsley's 0-0 draw away at Sheffield United

Carl Dickinson

Missed the game with the knee injury that looks certain to end his season

Michael Tonge

Played eighty seven minutes as Derby beat Coventry 1-0 in the East Midlands derby.

Had a good game as he looked to feed Hulse and Porter up front, taking people on and showing what a good player he is at CCC level. Nearly doubled the lead late on when he went on a mazy run, taking on a number of defenders before seeing his shot tipped wide of the post.

Tom Soares

Started for Sheffield Wednesday and played well, causing problems on the right flank, and looked to have more of a purpose to his play according to reports. Scored a vital equaliser for the Owls in the 77th minute when he drifted in off the wing to net a back post header to secure a crucial away point.

Andy Griffin

Played at left back in the Reading side and had a decent game as but couldn;t stop the Royals going down to a 2-1 defeat away at Ipswich.

Reading were pushed back for long periods and the defender had to be on hand to deny many a goalscoring opportunity and make sure his winger created as little as possible. The best defender on a bad day for Reading who only had two shots to their opponents twelve. Even with this defeat Reading have picked up remarkably since Griffin arrived and are now sure to stay up this season after a season of struggle.

Ben Marshall

Played on Friday as Carlisle won 3-1. Got mixed reports with some fans saying he was exciting, having his best game for them and giving ratings of 9 whilst others said he was inconsistent and with little end product and ratings of 7. ALl agreed though that great promise is there but that he is also very right footed

Danzelle St.Louis-Hamilton

Was ruled out of Worcester City's game away at Staines with an ankle injury

Diego Arismendi

Finally made his English league debut after recovering from injury that had sidelined him since his move south. Came on as a sub with the score at 1-1 and was ok, without doing anything special, as the game ended 2-2. Will be hoping for a first start soon
