Ben Marshall

Southampton 1-0 Northampton Town, Carling Cup

Ben received more plaudits for his performance in this match, in just his second professional appearance. He was again one of the Cobblers better performers and showed discipline in defence against a side from the league above Northampton.

Northampton supporter Sid, off The Hotel End message board had this too say

'I watched the guy very closely on Tues to see how he'd perform. He worked his socks in a largely defensive performance (due to the nature of the opposition) but he always looked a threat going forward and Saints always seemed to double up on him. Wasn't afraid to take leadership when needed, and worked (more than other wingers would) with Holt to attempt to stifle any attack down their right wing
Agreed, his decision making could have been better at times re: crosses, passes, I put that down to his youth and inexperience. Probably a 6.5/10 on the night. A promising player.'

Danzelle St.Louis-Hamilton

Harrogate Town 3-0 Vauxhall Motors, Conference North, 8th August

Danzelle conceded three goals but the Vauxhall reports would indicate he saved them from a heavier defeat, pulling off a number of good saves.
