Was assistant manager at the club around the turn of the century, and had four games in charge following the departure of Steve Cotterill, before leaving to rejoin Cotterill at Burnley.
Had a spell at Notts County before returning to the Potters in the summer of 2011, taking over as head coach of the Under 18's following the promotion of Aidy Pennock to first team coach.
