Signed for the Potters for £1.75m, after an initial loan deal, from Spanish club Real Zaragoza, after falling out of favour in Spain.

Having started his career at Notts County he joined Arsenal aged 15, and went onto play for Liverpool aswell as Watford, Birmingham and Portsmouth before joining Zaragoza in the summer of 2009.

Has pace to burn and slipped straight into the right wing position vacated by Liam Lawrence's move south to Portsmouth.

At Stoke he has managed to revive a career that had hit the buffers following a series of personal problems. He is now a major player in the side and has taken some of the burden off fellow winger Matthew Etherington with his pin point crosses and close ball control being a vital part of the way City play.

Was given the famour number 7 shirt for the 2011/12 season and still has an outside chance of an England call up if he maintains his form in a City shirt.
