Bjarni Gudjonson was our man of the match as he scored the first goal and then crossed for the other two goals.
Goal #1 was Bjarni's free kick in the 22nd about 20 yards out. He curled the ball into the far post and the keeper had no chance. Lovely free-kick.
Goal #2 was Chris Iwelumo's goal in the 27th minute. A Bjarni Cross went low to the back post and from about 3 yards at an angle, Iwelumo directed the ball back the other way to beat the diving goalkeeper into the right of the net!
Goal #3 - Another Bjarni Cross got to the head of Brynjar 'goal machine' Gunnarson and he headed home just after the break to pretty much seal the tie.
We thought there might have been more goals to come. Ricky Dadason arrived onto the pitch for the last half an hour and looked sharp with some good passes. Once he is back to full form I predict a good striker who could well put 15-20 in for us this season, we will have to see.
Halifax weren't too bad but you could see why they were bottom of their division.
