Player Ratings: Arsenal 3-1 Stoke City

Last updated : 23 October 2011 By Dan Buxton

Asmir Begovic - 7 - Made a couple of good saves but was left exposed for opener. Got something to the two late strikes but wouldn't have been expected to keep them out from such short distances

Andy Wilkinson - 6 - Struggled with the pace of Walcott and the trickery of Gervinho. Solid enough for parts but did tire as the game wore on

Marc Wilson - 6 - Was targeted by the hosts but battled away and was decent enough defending his wing. Played Gervinho onside for opener

Ryan Shawcross - 7 - Was solid and dependable. Won a lot in the air and did very well to help set up Potters goal

Matthew Upson - 6 - Not his greatest game in the end as he tired late on after impressive start

Jon Walters - 7 - Never stopped working, as always, and played a key, unselfish role in the goal when he headed across goal to better place Crouch. Good touches and link up with frontman whilst he also never forgot his defensive duties

Matthew Etherington - 5 - Very quiet and now in a worryingly bad run of form. Needs something to go in his favour to flick the switch

Glenn Whelan - 7 - Good set pieces to put panic in the home defence and also put himself about to harrass the opposition and stop Arsenal getting near the Potters goal

Rory Delap - 6 - Got involved in the midfield battle and long throws were a danger before subbed to allow fresh legs to replace him

Dean Whitehead - 6 - Some robust tackles saw him win the ball back on numerous occasions but also saw him give away a few free kicks

Peter Crouch - 7(Man of the Match) - Was in the right place at the right time to equalise and held the ball up well throughout, linking up with the midfield to build attacks

Salif Diao - 6 - Started well but game seemed to be played around him after introduction of Van Persie

Kenwyne Jones - 7 - Gave the home defence all sorts of problems with his strength and size but was unable to get his side back in the game

Cameron Jerome - 6 - Not on for long enough to make a real impact but did come within inches of tapping in a Jones knockdown with the score at 2-1
