The 1-1 result earned Halifax a replay at The Britannia Stadium takes place a week on wednesday.
Andy Cooke scored for his second consecutive match, he put the potters in the lead after 27 minutes after a touch of class by Bjarni Gudjonson in the midfield followed by a great pass inside to Cookey, he kept his head and placed over the Halifax goalkeeper.
To be fair, Halifax dominated. Despite being bottom of the 3rd division, they really wanted this game and earnt themselves a replay in the 85th minute when Stoke's defence couldn't keep them away any longer.
The ball came across to Paul Harsley just in front of the penalty spot and he couldn't miss from there. Cutler pulled off some great saves in the match and showed that he was worthy of 1st team.
