Webmaster Lianne said: "Andy was a decent signing for us, and he made 17 appearances for Partick, starting 12 games. He's clearly still a bit raw, but you could see an improvement in his game from when he first came to Firhill, so the experience of playing in the first team did make a difference.

"His work-rate and enthusiasm certainly made him a bit of a favourite with the fans (particularly as this has been a very poor season for us and the attitude of the players has been called into question as you can imagine), and while he was liked by the fans for his attitude more than his abillity, he did look a half decent player too.

"He featured for us mainly at right-back, or as a right wingback, but also played twice in a midfield role. He was eager to get down the wing from right back and support attacks, but a bit prone to being caught out of position. He could also be a bit rash at times, ie he was red-carded in one game for pushing the ref (although he basically just trying to get his attention but the ref overreacted), but these things you could put down to his age.

"He wasn't afraid to battle for the ball though, and like I've said, that made him a favourite with the fans. The way he celebrated his goal in the 1-1 draw with Clyde also helped! (See Image)

"So yes, for the above reasons in what's been a pretty poor season for us, most Jags fans were sad to see him go, and wish him all the best back at Stoke".
