Vote For Your Man Of Your Most Important Summer Signing

So the transfer window has slammed shut and the Potters made seven acquisitions to their first team squad, but who is the most important?

The first signing was an unspectacular one but one that added cover to a vital area as Carlo Nash came in as 3rd choice keeper, at a time when both Sorensen and Begovic were being linked with moves elsewhere.

The Potters desperately need goals in their side and the £8m arrival of Kenwyne Jones has added a new threat up front, as has Jon Walters, with the £3m signing also being able to play right wing.

You would imagine that the first choice right winger would be Jermaine Pennant after the winger signed on a four month loan deal, after receiving a call late on deadline day whislt commenting that Eidur Gudjohnsen was going to be a good deal for Stoke. The Icelandic star, who can play up front or in central midfield, has arrived on a 12 month contract and was this summers marquee signing. These two were joined on a deadline day by Marc Wilson. Just 22, but already captain of Portsmouth Wilson is a defensive midfielder who can play across the back but is primarily there to break up attacks before using his fantastic range of passing to put his team back on the attack.
