The 30-year-old scored his first goal as he grabbed the equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Saturday.

The result saw the Potters drop to seventh place in the Premier League table, as they responded after falling to their first defeat of the season against Sunderland a week earlier.

Tony Pulis' side are also balancing the Europa League with their league schedule and have already played 12 competitive games this season.

Crouch has played for Liverpool, Portsmouth, Southampton, QPR, Aston Villa, Norwich and Spurs but says he has never been part of a team who work harder than the Potters.

He told the Sentinel: "Since I have been here, I have never known a character and willingness to work like Stoke City's.

"The manager has installed it and, when I first signed, he said I have to be part of that.

"He said I have to work hard and that, first and foremost, is what he expects.

"I think that is why we get results and why we got this result against Manchester United.

"We created chances and, so long as we play like that, we will do well this season."
