Fulhams Mark Hughes keen to end spat with Stokes Tony Pulis

The pair have taken it in turns to withdraw the customary post-match handshake following a row after Stoke's 2-0 victory in their Carling Cup game in September.

Hughes shunned Pulis that night but the snub was reversed three months later after Fulham's 2-0 home win in the Barclays Premier League.

'I probably got a little bit emotional and showed it in the wrong way and maybe Tony showed his displeasure at being beaten at home in the wrong way so we need to grow up a bit,' said Hughes.

'It was blown out of proportion, it was tit for tat.

'Will he accept my handshake? I have no idea, I hope so. We are both Welsh lads, there is no reason why not but I haven't spoken to him since.'
