Peter Reid has been appointed assistant manager after coming to an agreement with the Thailand FA for his release.

Reid had been in charge of the Thai national side for 12 months but decided he wanted a return to England as Tony Pulis' right hand man.

Pulis had been looking for an assistant since the end of last season when his then right hand man Dave Kemp moved into the role of North and South American scout to be closer to his young family in the US.

Reid joins an impressive back room staff including experienced Gerry Francis, reserve manager Mark O'Connor and academy head coach Ady Pennock.
