FootyMAD >  The Boothen Roar >  Britannia Stadium >  John Smiths Stand
The West Stand
Article by Rob Stanway Friday, 26th November 2004
An introduction to the West Stand

The West Stand finishes off the impressive look of the stadium. It's two tiers can house around 12,000 spectators and includes all of the admin offices, hospitality and media space.

The upper tier has well looked after table and football stools for you to use, with TV sets and a good bar which serves fast food and drink.

The lower tier has a large area with bars and fast food.

In between the lower and upper tier are the executive boxes. These can be rented out on a seasonal basis. In the middle of the executive boxes is the Tony Waddington Suite where the club provides it's hospitality to fans who want it.

The cost is between £70 and £100 per head depending on the grade of the fixture but for that you will have waitor/waitress service, a 3 course meal and bar and the restaurant leads out into padded seats where you can view the game from.

The sky boxes are similar to the executive boxes but alot higher, situated at the top of the stand. In the sky box, you have access to the bars inside the ground.

The impressive exterior shows the various levels of the ground, the top set of windows being the sky boxes, the next being the suits and below being more suits and meeting rooms and of course the Waddington Suite.

The main reception (used on matchdays) can be seen in the middle of the stand and in there can be found the Stoke City trophy cabinet.
