Hardly Storm Into Top Three With Record Victory

Hardly Athletic's promotion charge gathered further momentum as the season reached the halfway point, with Hardly in 3rd position.

Athletic are now on a club record 5 match unbeaten run, and have won four league games in a row, another club record, after defeating Port Vale DFC by six goals to three at Fenton Manor.

In their third season at Fenton Hardly are now experiencing some long overdue success and have now won more games this season, even after just have a season, than in either of their other two campaigns.

This game started with Matt Young scoring an early brace to hand the initiative to Athletic and they remained in charge, trading goals with their opponents, right through to the end, where further doubles from Andy McEvoy and Chris Cope had seen the score rise to 6-3.
