Another Defeat For Hardly As Search For Seasons First Win Continues

The season's third league game, and fourth overall, saw another defeat to keep Hardly rooted to the bottom of the league.

Dan Middleton played for the first time this season whilst there was also a Hardly Athletic debut for James Robins. A late drop out by keeper Paul Dale meant Joe Gordon took his place between the sticks for this game.

It was the third game in a row Hardly conceded five and the opposition passed the ball around well but weren't deserving of such a comprehensive victory.

Hardly kept the defence tight and tracked men well early on, and also looked dangerous themselves as they used the pace of Cope and energy of Robins to cause havoc in the opposition defence.

The deadlock was broken though just before half time when Pack Horse had men over and they used this to good effect, scoring low to Gordon's right.

The lead was doubled just after half time with a duplicate of the opening goal before a neat finish from Cope gave Hardly hope.

That was soon extinguished as three goals in five minutes secured the win for Horse as they beat Gordon with a trio of well placed shots that all left the stopper with no chance.
